Whether it's a wool coat, down coat, short coat, or trench coat—to ensure your new sustainable women's coat from LangerChen fits perfectly and gives you long-lasting pleasure, it's important to choose the right size. Compare the measurements of a well-fitting coat from your closet with the measurements in our chart. This way, you'll get a realistic feel for the fit and cut using our size guide.
How to determine your right size
The following graphic shows you where to measure to optimally compare the product dimensions of your old coat with your new LangerChen women's coat:
1. Chest circumference:
Lay the garment flat and measure from one armpit to the other. This gives you half your chest measurement. Double this measurement to get your total chest measurement.
2. Shoulder width:
Measure your shoulder width from one sleeve seam to the other - that is, from insert seam to insert seam.
3. Sleeve length:
The length of the sleeves of coats is measured from the highest point of the sleeve - usually where the shoulder seam is - to the very hem of the garment.
You can also measure the back length . For this length, measure along the center of the back from the collar (not including the collar) to the bottom hem.

More tips for the perfect women's coat from LangerChen
Not every body type fits exactly into one size. If you're between two sizes, or your bust, waist, and hip measurements fall into different ranges, that's perfectly normal. Here are a few tips to help you find the perfect women's coat from our LangerChen brand—whether it's a quilted coat, down coat, short coat, or trench coat:
- Go for a larger size if you like to wear thick sweaters or cardigans under coats. This will keep your look comfortable and allow you plenty of freedom of movement.
- Choose the smaller size if you would like to wear your new GOTS-certified women's coat from our LangerChen brand over light outfits and prefer a close-fitting design.
- Look closely at the cut : An oversized coat has a generous fit, so the smaller size often fits better. Slim-fitting models, on the other hand, often feel more comfortable in the larger size.
- Also pay attention to the product description of the women's coats - there you will find an example size that matches the size of the model shown.
