The founders of LangerChen
LangerChen shows that fashion 'made in China' need not have anything to do with mass production or poor working conditions. On the contrary: With the aim of establishing environmentally friendly and fair textile production in China, Miranda Chen and Philipp Langer founded the textile manufacturer Jiecco back in 2009. Five years later, their passion for fashion and expertise in fabric development laid the foundation for the fashion label LangerChen.
Today, all LangerChen collections are manufactured in the company's own production facility about an hour from Shanghai - from the fabric to the finished jacket. The GOTS-certified company has specialized in the production of sustainable fashion since its foundation and is a pioneer in China with its standards of fair production and good working conditions.
Almost 100 employees work here on the sustainable collections. Fair wages, good working conditions and a pleasant working atmosphere are top priorities for everyone. Jiecco now also produces for other major eco-players.
OUR PRODUCTION TEAM
SUSTAINABILITY - We are committed to treating the resources of our planet with care and leaving the smallest possible ecological footprint. We use organic cotton, eco-wool, Tencel, organic linen and recycled polyester in our choice of materials.
FUNCTIONALITY - We develop almost all of our fabrics ourselves and pay particular attention to optimal function in addition to a pleasant wearing comfort and a great look. Thanks to special weaves, special membranes and the right raw materials, our jackets and coats keep you warm on cold winter days, keep out rain, protect you from icy winds and thus accompany you optimally through your everyday life.
FAIRNESS - We want to show that the fashion industry can also be fair. We manufacture in our own factory in China, know each of our employees personally and pay fair wages. Our production site in Jiecco pays attention to good working conditions, trains all employees in ecology and organizes the daily travel for the employees.
